Where to Build…
Our baby girl is due in about two weeks! I can’t believe the day is finally here. So of course we snuck down to the property for one last visit before she comes. It’s crazy to think that the next time I come here we will have another new little one with us. Can I just say it looked so different this time around. I have only been here when everything was green. Now the trees have officially lost all their leafs so you can see the lay of the land a little bit more.
Now is the perfect time to really narrow down where we are wanting to build our home. I thought it would take us along time to decide where to build, but I think we found just the right spot. It’s on top of a little hill so we will be able to look out over everything. It’s going to be perfect.
And the road is done, which means that we were able to drive all the way up to our property on gravel road. My brother in law and his family did such an amazing job putting it in. Now we can easily run up and down to each others property and say hi. Even better this means that we are a step closer to officially sub dividing the property and making everything official . We just have to wait for the power to come in. Ah, it’s so close.
So while we wait for the power, Rachel and Jake are getting started building their workshop. First up, digging out the foundation and putting some rebar around the boarder. Wells and Adeline had so much fun trying to help. Wells just kept following around the men trying to be a part of everything they were doing. I couldn’t help but laugh each time he tried to pick up a log that was too heavy for him, but he wouldn’t take no for an answer and kept trying.
All the other kids had fun helping when they could, but then ran off to build another fort. I don’t even know what number this fort is. It seems like each time we come they make another one. This time their goal was to cover the whole top of their fort with moss. I am not going to lie, It looked pretty amazing. My favorite part was when my nephew found a whole bunch of moss and created armor for himself with it. He looked hilarious as he posed for us. I just love that they are running around everywhere using their imagination and just having a ton of fun.
Until next time Property! Here is a little video of our trip adventures.
