The Beginning of Happy by Design Co

Hello friends! I am so excited to be starting this new adventure with you. We have been dreaming and scheming about starting Happy by Design Co and have to many fun plans in store. First, let me start off my introducing myself. I am a wife to the sweetest husband who is always helping me dream big. We are always working on a project. So be prepared for all things demo and building. I am also a Mama to four little munchkins. Three girls and a little baby boy, they keep me on my toes, keep me laughing, and keep me going everyday.

Just over a year ago my husband Jake and I did something most people thought was crazy. We sold our brand new build home, our very first home, and moved. Not only did we move to a different neighborhood, which we love by the way, we moved into a house that we wanted to completely gut and remodel all while living in it. While the decision wasn’t easy it has been so much fun and so good for our family. We have been able to design what we love, plan, scheme, build, all with our kiddos right beside us. And it definitely gave us something to do when Covid hit.

During this remodel process we are constantly reminded of a important truth that our family lives by.

Happiness come from what we design our minds and life to be. Its was we create everyday by choice.

So even though there have been times when we have been living in a construction site, eating outside because there was no clean surface in the house, having holes in the floors, walls torn down, nothing put together, all while raising a family and trying to go about a normal life, we were/ are happy. We laugh all the time and have lots of dance parties. we try to focus on seeing the good and seeing the progress, even in ourselves, everyday. We are happy by design. And that is how I like to go about my life. Striving to be happy, seeing the good no matter what, and sharing joy as much as I can.
